Kohl's Safe at Home
Kohl's Cares and the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) have announced a new program through their partnership, "Kohl's Safe at Home." This is a multi-year program with a focus on safe sleep awareness for infants in year one and falls prevention slated for year two.
CHaD has had an existing partnership with Kohl's as part of their Kohl's Cares program since 2005. In the past, CHaD has benefited from the sales of cause marketing merchandise, including seasonal stuffed animals and books, in the West Lebanon, NH store. Now the support has increased and allowed the program to expand to additional topic areas. Recent programmatic funds have been used to fund a variety of projects and programs such as, The Period of PURPLE Crying® Teen Program, an awareness campaign geared at informing teens about infant crying. Additionally information about infant safe sleep was utilized to raise awareness with high risk families statewide, via educational resources and protective equipment distribution such as portable cribs, stair gates and window guards.
