Child Advocacy Center
It's a place where Child Protective Services social workers, police investigators, mental health professionals, victim advocates, prosecutors, and medical providers plan and coordinate services and interventions for children where there are concerns for abuse. It is a place where young victims of sexual abuse can talk about their abuse without further traumatization by the system.
This comprehensive approach, with followup services coordinated by the CAC, ensures that children receive the appropriate services in a child-friendly environment, one in which the child's needs come first!
The CAC provides services to children and families within the two counties, who may have been impacted by sexual abuse, physical abuse or where violence was witnessed. CACs receives referrals from either law enforcement or Child Protective Services.
All CAC appoinments must be scheduled by calling (603) 653-9012.
