The Face of a Child Program is devoted to the evaluation and treatment of children born with craniofacial disorders. These children often require complex care, over many years, from a variety of specialists.
By working collaboratively, our team is able to provide children and families with highly specialized treatment and the organization of care into multidisciplinary clinic visits. We work together to determine the best treatment plan for each individual patient and to communicate effectively with families and care providers. We know how important it is to stay connected, and we pride ourselves on a thorough, personalized, and caring approach toward the patients and families we serve.
We support children born with all varieties of craniofacial disorders, including cleft lip and/or palate, craniosynostosis, microtia, and genetic issues involving the head and face.
About the Craniofacial Center
To meet the needs of our patients in the most efficient and integrated way possible, we offer coordinated, interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment by an experienced team of craniofacial specialists. Known as the Craniofacial Clinic, services are offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at our main hospital in Lebanon, NH. During these visits, team members collaborate on each patient in real-time to ensure complete integration of all aspects of treatment.

Our unique approach
The Face of a Child program is unique in Northern New England in that it is a full-service, comprehensive craniofacial program providing evaluation and care for all varieties of craniofacial anomalies. The program is committed to providing this highly specialized medical care in a personal and caring atmosphere that is sensitive to individual and family needs. The bonds we form with our patients and their families are meaningful to us and are essential to ensuring long-term continuity of care.
We care for more than 350 children per year, with nearly 600 clinic visits per year. We believe strongly in the concept of patient-centered care and always try to engage the patient and family in a process of shared clinical decision-making.
In addition to Face of a Child's clinical services, a full-time Craniofacial Coordinator plays a crucial role as a support for families, helping them to navigate the treatment plan established by the team, to follow-up on recommendations, and to connect with local providers and community resources as needed.
