Getting Involved at CHaD
Are you interested in helping CHaD be the best children's hospital? You can get involved. No matter how much time you have to give, there is a rewarding opportunity for you to help CHaD, which will introduce you to new people and benefit CHaD kids. Even the smallest commitment can make a huge difference!
CHaD offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year that are suited to every special talent. Here are some ideas for getting involved.
Volunteering with Patients
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Volunteers are a part-time, unpaid cohort whose efforts support the mission of Dartmouth-Hitchcock by providing services to promote population health and enhance the patient experience.
Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock volunteers are vital to our mission of providing services to promote population health and enhance the patient experience. A variety of part time, unpaid roles are available such as assisting our child life team, cuddling infants and assisting in our CHaD Family Center. If you are interested in joining this diverse and skilled group, we invite you to contact the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Volunteer office to learn more about our programs and find a match for your talents and availability.
We are looking for patients and families who are interested in being our spokespersons and ambassadors in the community and in sharing their stories in order to inspire others to support our children's hospital. Our ambassadors may be asked to attend or speak at events; to be interviewed for a CHaD Matters, news or other web story; or to have their photo taken for use on brochures or public materials. Learn more about becoming a CHaD Ambassador. If you are interested in this role, please talk with your child life specialist or contact us at (603) 653-3487.
CHaD hosts special events and projects throughout the year, which help us fundraise to support the services we offer. Philanthropy is critical to our success. We welcome your participation as a donor, and as a volunteer in planning and hosting our fun-filled events. An up-to-date schedule and listing of opportunities is available in our events section or by calling (603) 650-3431. We appreciate your role with us in any capacity that fits your time and talent.
