Child passenger safety inspections
Inspections are conducted by certified technicians, who provide a one-on-one tutorial on using a car seat. You can obtain a list of permanent inspection stations by calling toll-free (877) 783-0432 or visiting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
We also conduct inspections at community checkup events throughout the state. Our Events page will list some of these inspections. For checkups in other states, visit the SafeKids website.
After successfully completing the training course, a participant becomes Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.
Funding for the NH CPS Program is provided by the New Hampshire Highway Safety Agency. Supplemental funding is provided by the Safe Kids Buckle Up program and the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
