Pediatric Ophthalmology

Pediatric Ophthalmology provides vision screening and orthoptic evaluations for children, and treats common problems that can affect your children's eyes and vision.

We provide a variety of treatments and services, including:

  • Complete eye exams (includes dilation of the pupil for evaluation of the retina and optic nerve)
  • Eye muscle surgery to straighten the eyes
  • Eyelid repair
  • Glasses for nearsightedness or farsightedness
  • Orthoptic treatments
  • Patching for amblyopia (lazy eye)
  • Screening exams and treatments for children with developmental abnormalities, systemic diseases, or ocular abnormalities such as tear duct problems
  • Screening retinal exam in Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) for premature or low-birth-weight babies

  • Craniofacial syndromes and developmental abnormalities
  • Dacryostenosis (blocked tear ducts)
