Message from the Chief Resident
Welcome to our Pediatric Residency Program website. I’m happy to share with you why I absolutely love our program and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth!
From the start of my intern year, everyone in the program has been unbelievably supportive. The cohesion of the residents was immediately evident, highlighting every success and collaborating to solve any problem that arose. Working together has made every day of my residency enjoyable, and has led to many lasting friendships.
The small size of our program provided the ability to tailor individualized electives to my interests while still receiving an excellent general pediatric foundation. Working closely with such approachable and knowledgeable attendings, I have regularly felt challenged and been motivated to improve. This community also fosters invested mentors who have helped me focus my scholarly activity and future career goals. Our wide catchment area provides the opportunity to take care of all kinds of patients, from those with the common cold to critically ill patients with rare diseases.
As chief resident I get to continue working with this incredible group of residents and attendings. I am also enjoying another year of the beautiful Upper Valley; there are so many ways to spend time outdoors here with friends and family, no matter the season!
If you have more questions about what life is like here as a resident, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your interest in CHaD!
