In our perinatal and pediatric transport conferences, we discuss quality improvement, optimal patient care, and emerging changes in care. These conferences take place at least once a year in the community hospitals of New Hampshire and eastern Vermont.
Perinatal Transport Conference
These conferences offer the community case reviews of maternal-fetal and neonatal patients. The faculty include a maternal-fetal specialist, a neonatologist, and an outreach nurse. Participants include obstetricians, pediatricians, family practice physicians and perinatal nurses.
Pediatric Intensive Care Transport Conferences
These conferences are case reviews of pediatric patients shared between community hospitals and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The faculty include a pediatric intensivist and an outreach nurse. The participants are pediatricians, family practice physicians, emergency room physicians and pediatric nurses.
