All of our facilities have been designed with young patients in mind to promote their comfort, healing, and ease. Developed by our child life specialists, Operation Sneak-a-Peek is a tour designed to help children and their families prepare for anesthesia, surgery, and other sedated procedures.

Our children's hospital's inpatient care
Our dedicated teams have extensive experience working together to deliver advanced inpatient care for infants, children, and teens. Our hospital includes:
- Intensive Care Nursery: Our 30-bed Level III Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) for premature babies is the only tertiary academic referral center for New Hampshire and south-central Vermont for high-risk obstetric and neonatal patients.
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit: Our 10-bed, state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides specialty care for critically ill and injured children from 30 days to 19 years of age.
- Pediatric Emergency Department: Our pediatric trauma center is New Hampshire’s only emergency room dedicated solely to meeting the special needs of acutely ill and injured patients ages 18 and under. We are accredited by the American College of Surgeons.
